A Sneak Peek at Midnight Brunch #1

We are all just now recovering from the amazing party that was Midnight Brunch #1. Over the next couple weeks, we'll return to our normal programming here with a conclusion of our Russian Fooding exploration to Brighton Beach, but we'll also be mixing it up with a few posts on the food and cocktails served up at the event over the weekend. We have exclusive interviews with The Bitter Truth, Bols Genever and Rhum JM (and a few other event sponsors) and a behind-the-scenes look at how the custom cocktails were created. We'll also share recipes for how to throw a West Indian-themed dinner party at home, including select recipes from Saturday night's menu. (But not for the jerk fried chicken - you had to be there for that!)

In the meantime, here are some of the photos taken by our talented and gracious photographer, Leo Borovskiy of Lush Life Productions.

What a great event! Found you via a link on grub street from a link sent by a friend in Australia..Glad to hear of a WI food supper club in the mix! Wish you all the best with future events!

Nice to meet you, Saer! I love that my blog bounced around the world to make
      its way to you. :)

To clarify, the ethnic food we serve will change almost every time we get
together. We started with West Indian food because it’s the first culture we
explored on the blog. Thank you for reading and commenting. Hope to see you
      around these parts again soon.

That sounds like a great adventure in eating..a different culture each time? Nice! What are the upcoming cusine’s that you will be serving?

Looks like the next one will be meatballs from around the world, so we’ll be
hitting up a few cultures at once!

Yeah! Leo did a great job with the shots, and I’m looking forward to seeing
any other photos from the event. Loved having ya, and can’t wait to do it
      again!

Looks like your Midnight Brunch was a success! Love that I got to see Jon in the photos (I met him at SXSW Interactive in 2009).
